Michael Hughes has been in the real estate investment and development industry for more than 20 years and has consulted for some of the largest financial institutions in the US. He has also worked with both publicly traded and privately held development firms on multiple projects across several different real estate asset classes including single family attached and detached residential, multi-family, commercial, vacant land and self-storage properties. He has worked as an Adjunct Professor at California State University, Northridge and been an expert witness for construction defect litigation and forensic engineering matters. His formal education includes an MBA from Stanford University, an MS in Civil/Structural Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley and a BS in Civil Engineering from Rutgers University. He is licensed as a real estate broker, general contractor and civil engineer in the state of California.
